Goodridge has been making performance brake lines in the UK since 1969. Stuart Goodridge started the company in Totnes, Devon, after coming home from a racing career in Canada. Today it supplies hoses to teams in MotoGP, World Superbike and British Superbike. The same stainless braided construction that racers rely on is now available for your Bonneville, Thruxton, Scrambler or custom build.
Goodridge Universal Brake Line for Custom Brake Lines PN VAR-UBL

Why riders choose Goodridge
- A firm, consistent lever. A PTFE inner liner wrapped in stainless steel braid won’t swell under pressure the way aging rubber hoses do. That gets rid of the spongy feel, even under hard braking.
- Built to last. PTFE doesn’t break down like rubber, and the stainless braid resists abrasion and corrosion.
- Racing pedigree. The hoses come from more than 55 years of supplying top-level motorsport.
- Pressure tested. Goodridge pressure tests every hose in its motorcycle brake kits before it leaves the factory.
Built for custom Triumphs
Swapping bars changes your brake line routing. A taller, wider or lower bar, clip-ons, a lowered front end or a relocated master cylinder can leave the stock hose too short, too long or kinked.
Goodridge Universal Brake Lines let you order the length your build actually needs. Pair them with Goodridge banjo adaptors in 20° or 35° angles to route the line cleanly away from the caliper or master cylinder, with no awkward loops and no strain on the fittings.
They’re ideal for:
- Café racer conversions with clip-ons or clubman bars
- Scramblers and trackers with wide or tall bars
- Bobber and custom builds with relocated controls
- Replacing old, cracked rubber hoses on older Hinckley twins and triples

Fitting tip
Measure the routing with the bars at full lock in both directions and the forks fully compressed before you order. Use new copper crush washers on every banjo, bleed the system completely, and check the lever feel before you ride. If you aren’t confident working on brakes, have a qualified mechanic do the install.
