Refund and Returns Policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused and in the same condition that you received it. It must also be in the original packaging.

Several types of goods are exempt from being returned. We do require returned products to be received by us in a new condition with original packaging, labels, and RMA Form to qualify for a refund or store credit less any relevant restocking fee. All returned items will be inspected by a trained technician for evidence of damage, use or installation. Any evidence of such damage, installation or use will nullify the return. Depending on the nature of the return, British Iron reserves the right to bill for any other associated costs including any labor or material costs necessary to complete the return testing process. Any faults found to be caused by damage due to improper installation, improper handling or any other such factors will not be covered and all associated testing and shipping costs will be billed at the discretion of British Iron.

There are certain situations where only partial refunds are granted:

  • With the exception of defective parts or errors on our side, all returns will be subject to a restocking fee. If you would like your payment refunded, there is a 10% restocking fee. If you would like store credit, there is 0% restocking fee.
  • In some instances, customers do not return the full product. In this case, either no refund is available or a partial refund is provided. This is a case-by-case basis. 

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected and it meets the criteria outlined above, we will issue a refund (minus 10%), store credit or contact you if there is an issue. 

If you are approved, then your refund will be processed, and a credit will automatically be applied to your credit card or original method of payment, within a certain amount of days. Refunding times are dependent on the credit card issuer. Normally, five to twelve days is a normal time to see the refund on your credit card. 

Late or missing refunds

If you haven’t received a refund yet, first check your bank account again.

Then contact your credit card company, it may take some time before your refund is officially posted.

Next contact your bank. There is often some processing time before a refund is posted.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and start the refund process on the Shipping and Refund page

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
